May 19, 2021 Bylaw Amendment
A bylaw amendment was unanimously passed to allow all members to vote inside of the Covid 19 furloughs and lay offs. Membership wrote and voted in favor of a bylaw with a strict timeline to charge scabs post strike with 215 yes votes and 72 no votes. Inside of the 30 day review process, IU President D Taylor vetoed the bylaw, clarifying that the responsibility to charge scabs lies with membership, not UNITEHERE staff.
